Terms and Conditions

By trading in your old CDs, DVDs and Games with TurnIntoCash.com you accept the following terms and conditions.

1. You live in the UK or Channel Islands

2. You are over 18 or have permission to trade in your items with TurnIntoCash.com

3. You are the legal owner of the items that you trade in

4. You are an individual and not representing a business

5. You understand that all CDs, DVDs and Games must pass our quality control checks before payment can be made

6. If items fail our quality checks or have not been included in the trade we are unable to return them under any circumstances

7. Payment is made based on the value offered at time of trade only.

8. Items not received at our warehouse within 21 days of the offer being confirmed may be revalued which we will contact you about.

9. TurnIntoCash.com will keep you regularly updated about the status of your trade via email or push notifications

10. Items that fail quality checks cannot be returned

11. You are not taking part in one of our fundraising initiatives

Quality Checks


TurnIntoCash.com will not make payment for items where:

Original disks are missing

Artwork is damaged

Artwork is missing

We suspect the item is a copy or fake

The disk in the case does not match the cover

The disk is badly scratched and cannot be repaired

CDs singles, EPs, Playstation 1, PC Games, Gameboy/Gameboy Advance games and Dreamcast Games will automatically be rejected even if the TurnIntoCash.com system has offered a valuation

Postage


TurnIntoCash.com uses the PacketPost Returns service from The Royal Mail which allows users to post their parcels free of charge from any UK Post Office but we take no responsibility for loss or damage before items are received at our warehouse.

We recommend that all customers ask for Proof of Postage from the Post Office

In the unlikely event that your parcel is lost we will assist you in making a claim for loss

Payment


Payment will only be made to the TurnIntoCash Account Holder

Payment is made by cheque and no other alternatives are available

All Payments include VAT at the current UK rate

It is the traders responsibility to ensure that name and address data is correct on our system as this may delay your payment

Commercial Users


TurnIntoCash.com monitors all transactions on the website and where we suspect the website is being used for commercial purposes reserve the right to cancel any trades or refuse payment. In the unlikely event this occurs items will only be returned on payment of postage and administration costs.

TurnIntoCash.com defines commercial use of the website as any organisation, business or individual who is buying items specifically to trade on the website or disposing of items they have bought in bulk with the aim of selling them for a profit. In the event of any dispute TurnIntoCash.com reserve the right to reject any trade that it believes is from a commercial user but will return all items traded on receipt of payment to cover the cost of items sent in to us and return costs.

Commercial use of the website may include multiple individual trades of the same items or attempting to trade more than three of the same title in more than one trade.

Commercial users or charities should contact TurnIntoCash.com for permission to use the website.

Timings


Please note we aim to despatch customer payment within seven days of receipt but occasionally due to high volumes may not be able to do so but we will keep you informed via the website.

The following timings are for guidance only:

Royal Mail Freepost can take up to 10 working days to arrive

Courier collections generally take three working days to arrive

We will acknowledge receipt of your parcels individually (If you send more than one parcel we acknowledge each one)

From Receipt acknowledgement to us posting your cheque will usually be 14 working days but cannot guarantee this during busy periods

Personal data is held by TurnIntoCash.com for the purposes of trading CDs, DVDs and Games only and we do not share this data with any other company. Please read our privacy policy for more information.
